Reflections of a husband, Dad, and small business owner living a boy's dream of days spent digging in the dirt and playing with dogs. It's a dog fence life!

Proline service and care.....definitely not invisible.

Petstop_guarantee
Every business will tell you up front that their customer service is second to none. The problem is you have to purchase the product to find out whether that claim is true. It's like a politician telling you that in order to find out the wonderful benefits of proposed legislation you'll have to pass it first.....very scary. Faith can be frightening, but there are some up front clues as to whether a company will stand behind their product with prompt and caring service....those being a greater understanding of the philosophy of the company and a service guarantee.

Our largest competitor will often claim that their service after the sale is the best simply because they are a large company and have many more employees. I guess out of necessity they have bought into the false notion that bigger is better. Really?...efficiency and good customer relationships are borne of simply being the biggest? I don't think so.

I would contend that caring customer service is borne of integrity, passion for what you do, and a deep understanding of what it takes to grow a thriving local business. When you own the business you represent, it's not a job you do 5 days a week to collect a paycheck on Friday. It's your life's passion. A business owner better love what he does, because he is consumed with it 24/7!

Pet Stop® and Proline... Far from Invisible® --Reason #4- Gentle Steps!

Lab_puppy
In a continuing effort to point out the difference between Pet Stop® brand hidden fence systems and Invisible Fence® brand, here is reason #4--A greater care and concern for your family's cherished pup with Gentle Steps training.
Gentlestepslogo

Years ago, Pet Stop® saw the need for a gentler more humane way to train your pet to the boundaries of your yard. "Houston, do you copy?"

Space_shuttle_reentry
Upon re-entering earth's atmosphere, there is 3 minute period at the end of each space shuttle flight when Houston control loses radio contact with the crew. It has to do with ionized air not playing well with radio transmission. This loss of contact comes at a perilous time when the space craft could easily burn up and disintegrate if the well rehearsed angle of entry is not achieved. Houston control knows when the blackout is coming and informs the shuttle crew prior to it. Last minute instructions are given and then comes the silence..... and the waiting...... and the clock watching, as the all important 3 minutes count down. Finally after what seems like an eternity, the voice of the shuttle pilot pierces the silence saying.... "Houston...re-establishing communication" ....and Houston control takes a collective sigh of relief.

Pet Stop® and Proline... far from Invisible® --Reason #2

Memorial_day_pup
"What's the difference between you and Invisible Fence®?" In answering, a flood of answers comes to my head so much so that I often simply don't know where to begin. The differences are many to say the least. So... in an effort to answer a wonderful question, I continue a series of posts to explain the differences. Difference #2.

Both Pet Stop® and Invisible Fence® use components in their hidden dog fence systems that are manufactured overseas, mostly in Asia. That's just the nature of manufacturing these days. But the difference between the two companies is that Pet Stop® systems are designed and assembled here in America at the Pet Stop® manufacturing facility in Morgantown, PA. Invisible Fence® systems along with all of the do-it-yourself systems produced by their parent company, Radio Systems Corp®, are assembled in China.

Pet Stop® and Proline... far from Invisible® --Reason #1

American_dog
Very often when I talk to a prospective customer about a Pet Stop® fence system for their dog I get asked, "What's the difference between you and Invisible Fence®?" In answering, a flood of answers comes to my head so much so that I often simply don't know where to begin. The differences are many to say the least. So... in an effort to answer a wonderful question, I begin a series of posts to explain the differences.

Back to that same old spot.......

Man_and_dog
Hang with me, there just might be a life lesson here.

One of the biggest reasons that hidden pet fences are so effective is because they play on the fact that our beloved pups are such creatures of habit. Often I tell pet owners that the training in the beginning is not so much a matter of the dog walking into the correction zone but instilling in them the habit of what to do once they hear the beep and feel the correction sensation. By having them on the leash in the beginning, you pull them back toward the house and the correction stops, thus they become conditioned that turning back toward the house is the way to make it stop. Trained properly, they just never figure out that if they simply kept going another 10-12 feet the correction would stop also, and they could be on their merry way chasing that squirrel down the street!

The look back...

The_look_back
School has started and with it comes the daily morning drive with my 11 year old son Sam to the loading zone for his car pool ride to school. It's a good time for father and son as I get about 15 minutes with just him at the start of each day. Sometimes we say nothing and that's ok, (it's a guy thing) and sometimes we talk of the day to come. Sometimes we sing along with the radio and sometimes we yell at the radio at the latest stupid thing we're hearing on the morning news report.

Dad, me, and dog fence wire.

Fred_u_myrtle_beach_2
I love what I do. For eight years now, I haven't had a job, but  a daily joy that just so happens to provide an income. I love meeting people, playing with dogs, and installing hidden dog fences that I know folks will love. I know that I am blessed by God to be self-employed and enjoy so much what I do. I am also blessed by those who have gone before me and paved the way......... which brings me to my Dad, me, and dog fence wire.
